The LRC director, Dr. Greg Kessler, has overall responsibility for the lab. He conducts workshops for faculty and TAs on the use of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), and teaches classes on CALL in the Linguistics Department. His research is focused on teacher and student performance and behavior in constructivist & autonomous CALL environments, the evolution and effectiveness of CALL teacher preparation, the use of technology in specific language teaching contexts, and the influence of technology upon change in the English language.
